When a patient in Bangladesh needs blood urgently, their family or caregiver can post a blood request on DoctorList — a free platform that connects verified voluntary donors directly with those in need. Unlike traditional blood banks that require matching from a central inventory, DoctorList publishes requests publicly so that donors with the right blood group — A+, B+, O+, O−, AB+, and all eight types — can see them and respond by calling the family directly.
Requests come from patients in every corner of Bangladesh — from Dhaka andChattogram to Dinajpur, Rangpur,Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna,Barishal, and Mymensingh. In districts where blood banks are scarce — particularly in North Bengal — these public requests are often the fastest way to find a matching donor. Emergency requests are highlighted at the top of the feed for immediate visibility.
